ทุกเรื่องราวการผจญภัยมักเกิดขึ้นที่ใดก็ได้ และสำหรับเด็กหนุ่มคนนี้ เขาเริ่มบันทึกวิดีโอชื่อ  "Me at the Zoo” ที่สวนสัตว์ซาน ดิเอโก้ รัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ในวันเสาร์ที่ 23 เมษายน 2005 ซึ่งเป็นวิดีโอแรกที่ถูกอัพโหลดขึ้นไปยังเว็บไซต์รูปแบบใหม่ ที่ในปัจจุบันทุกคนต่างรู้จักกันเป็นอย่างดีในชื่อ “YouTube” แพลตฟอร์มที่ถูกสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมาภายใต้ความเรียบง่ายเพียงแค่กดบันทึกวิดิโอ ก็จะสามารถเล่าเรื่องราวต่างๆ ได้อย่างง่ายดาย
เวลาแค่ 19 วินาที เป็นช่วงเวลาการบันทึกวิดีโอสั้นๆ เเละอัพโหลดลง YouTube แบบสบายๆ เนื้อหาสดๆ ไร้การปรุงแต่ง แต่กลายเป็นจุดกำเนิดของวิดีโอต่างๆ มากมายที่อัพลง YouTube และมีการพัฒนารูปแบบการถ่ายทำ รวมถึงนื้อหาใหม่ๆ ตลอดทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา เรื่องราวของการสร้างสรรค์เพียงเล็กๆน้อยๆ จะมีให้เราได้ติดตามตลอดในเดือนนี้
มันเหมือนวิดีโอมีคุณค่าราว 50 ปี ได้ถูกอัพโหลดในวันนี้ ทำให้เราได้เห็นถึงบางอย่างที่น่ามหัศจรรย์ที่เราได้สร้างสรรค์ บันทึก และแบ่งปันในปีที่ผ่านมา เราไปดูกันดีกว่าว่ามีอะไรบ้าง

Every adventure starts somewhere, and this one began on Saturday, April 23, 2005 when "Me at the Zoo" -- captured at California's San Diego Zoo -- became the first video uploaded to a new site no one had ever heard of called "YouTube." It was a simple distillation of the premise of a new platform, where anyone could just turn on a camera and broadcast themselves with ease.

At a mere 19 seconds, its brief runtime and casual setup suggest little of the online video craziness that would follow over the subsequent decade. Little of the incredible creativity we've looked back on throughout this month.
Just like the 50 years worth of video that will be uploaded today likely only give us a glimpse of the amazing things you'll create, capture, and share in the years that follow this one…
