YouTube music content has always been one of the main key triggers into why people come to YouTube everyday. YouTube, as part of Google, is heavily invested in Thailand and sees consistent growth in music in the past year, especially with new initiatives such as YouTube GO, New Video data packs, and of course the new launched GStation. These new initiatives have resulted in an increase of new users from around Thailand coming online resulting in what we have seen this past year with YouTube Rewind having numerous “LookTung” content appear in the Top 10/15.
It proves to show that YouTube as a video platform truly has rich diverse content that serves to every audience which includes also different music genre types that we have for ex. Look Tung, Pop, Rock, EDM, Acoustic, etc.
Across 4 Pop-up Spaces since 2016, music has always been a center focus and we usually use the Pop-Up Space to engage with artists, labels and build awareness of our initiatives to invest in the music industry. We’ve experimented and hosted various engagements including workshops, industry networking events, and several production opportunities.
