Google ประเทศไทย จัดโรดโชว์ “กิจกรรมสร้างเสริมการใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลอย่างสร้างสรรค์ ปลอดภัย ผ่านหลักสูตร Be Internet Awesome” ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรที่พัฒนาขึ้นมาโดยเฉพาะเพื่อให้ความรู้กับเด็กๆ วัย 7-12 ปี เกี่ยวกับการสำรวจโลกออนไลน์ เพื่อให้พวกเขาสามารถใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตให้เกิดประโยชน์อย่างชาญฉลาด ปลอดภัย และไม่ก่อให้เกิดปัญหาสังคมอื่นๆ ตามมา รวมทั้งสอนให้เด็กๆ เกี่ยวกับพื้นฐานการเป็นพลเมืองดิจิทัลที่ดี เพื่อการท่องโลกออนไลน์อย่างมั่นใจ นอกจากนี้ การจัดโรดโชว์ดังกล่าวยังเป็นการตอกย้ำความสำคัญของ “สัปดาห์อินเทอร์เน็ตปลอดภัย หรือ Safer Internet Week 2020” ที่มีการเฉลิมฉลองทั่วโลกอีกด้วย
การจัดโรดโชว์นำร่องในครั้งนี้ Google ได้รับเกียรติจากโรงเรียนพญาไท กรุงเทพฯ ให้เป็นสถานที่จัดการฝึกอบรมเป็นครั้งแรก ด้วยการสนับสนุนจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ มูลนิธิครูดีของแผ่นดิน และสำนักงานการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน โดยมีคณะครูกว่า 150 คน จากโรงเรียนในเขตต่างๆ ทั่วกรุงเทพฯ เดินทางมาร่วมฝึกอบรมเพื่อทำความเข้าใจให้ถ่องแท้เกี่ยวกับเนื้อหาของ Be Internet Awesome เพื่อที่จะสามารถนำความรู้ใหม่และวิธีการใช้เครื่องมือเหล่านั้นกลับไปต่อยอดในการเรียนการสอนให้กับนักเรียนที่โรงเรียนของตน และเพื่อให้สอดคล้องเหมาะสมกับการพัฒนาการในวัยเด็กทั้งในและนอกห้องเรียน

นอกจากนี้ภายในงานโรดโชว์ยังเปิดโอกาสให้เด็กๆ ได้เล่นเกม Interland บนแท็บเล็ตขนาดใหญ่ ซึ่งทั้งสนุกสนานและสอดแทรกด้วยความรู้เกี่ยวกับการเป็นพลเมืองดิจิทัล ทั้งนี้ Google มีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะเดินหน้าจัดโรดโชว์ Be Internet Awesome ต่อไปภายในปีนี้
Google ได้ออกแบบหลักสูตร Be Internet Awesome เพื่อให้ความรู้ขั้นพื้นฐานฟรีสำหรับเด็ก ซึ่งได้เปิดตัวหลักสูตรในเวอร์ชั่นภาษาไทยเป็นประเทศแรกก่อนใครในเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก ภายในงาน Google for Thailand เมื่อปีที่ผ่านมา โดย Be Internet Awesome เป็นเครื่องมือที่ช่วยให้เด็ก ผู้ปกครอง และครู ได้ศึกษาเรียนรู้และมีส่วนร่วมในด้านความปลอดภัยในโลกออนไลน์ ด้วยหลักสูตรที่จัดทำขึ้นสำหรับพวกเขาโดยเฉพาะ โดยหลักสูตรดังกล่าวนอกจากจะเป็นภาษาไทยที่ครูสามารถดาวน์โหลดเพื่อนำไปใช้ในห้องเรียนแล้ว ยังสามารถดาวน์โหลดได้อีก 11 ภาษา ที่ประกอบไปด้วยหลักสูตรที่รองรับมาตรฐาน ISTE เกม Interland เกมออนไลน์เอาใจเด็กๆ ที่เต็มไปด้วยการผจญภัยที่สอนเรื่องความปลอดภัยของดิจิทัลและการเป็นพลเมืองดิจิทัล educators แหล่งข้อมูลมากมายสำหรับครูเพื่อนำใปใช้ในห้องเรียน และ families คู่มือสำหรับครอบเพื่อเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยออนไลน์และการเป็นพลเมืองดิจิทัลที่บ้าน Be Internet Awesome เป็นหลักสูตรครอบคลุมพื้นฐานหลัก 5 หมวดที่เกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยออนไลน์และการเป็นพลเมืองดิจิทัล ได้แก่

Google Thailand kicked off a roadshow to promote safe and creative use of digital technology through the Be Internet Awesome curriculum, which is designed specially for guiding children aged between 7-12 to use the internet safely and wisely and avoid inappropriate behaviors that can lead to social issues, as well as teaching them the fundamentals of digital safety and citizenship so they can explore the online world with confidence. The roadshow was also part of the global celebration of Safer Internet Week 2020 .
The first roadshow was held at Phyathai School in Bangkok, with the support of the Ministry of Education, the Foundation of Thai Suprateacher (FTST) and the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC). The event featured training for 150 educators from across Bangkok, aiming to provide them with topline understanding of Be Internet Awesome content and how the classroom tools can be used to engage students in order to promote students’ growth both inside and outside the classroom.

Be Internet Awesome is Google’s free multifaceted program designed specially for kids to learn the basics of digital safety and citizenship. It was launched in Thailand last year at the second Google for Thailand event, and Thailand is the first country in Asia-Pacific to have the program in its local language. Be Internet Awesome brings kids, parents and educators together to actively learn and participate in digital safety, with resources made just for them. The program is available in Thai and 11 other languages. It consists of ISTE standards-aligned curriculum, Interland - an adventure-packed online game about digital safety and citizenship - and plenty of resources for educators and families .
Be Internet Awesome provides fun, age-appropriate learning experiences built around five fundamental topics of digital safety and citizenship, including
Share with Care (Be Internet Smart): What you share online has the potential to be forwarded, copied and found. Don’t Fall for Fake (Be Internet Alert): Always think critically before acting online; if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Secure Your Secrets (Be Internet Strong): Safeguarding your valuable information helps you avoid damaging devices, reputations and relationships. It’s Cool to Be Kind (Be Internet Kind): Block mean-spirited or inappropriate behavior online and use the Internet to spread positivity. When in Doubt, Talk It Out (Be Internet Brave): It’s important to be able to speak to trusted adults about anything suspicious you encounter online.
The roadshow is part of Google Thailand’s commitment under the education/digital skilling pillar, aiming to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all Thais would have equal opportunities to access digital technology under the theme of ‘Leave No Thai Behind’. It is also a great opportunity for the younger generations to make the most out of free tools and resources from Google.
