วันนี้ที่งาน Google for Thailand ที่จัดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นครั้งที่ 3 เราได้ตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นที่จะช่วยให้คนไทยทุกคนมีโอกาสที่เท่าเทียมกันในโลกดิจิทัล ภายใต้แนวคิด Leave No Thai Behind โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในช่วงเวลานี้ที่ประเทศไทยกำลังอยู่ระหว่างการฟื้นฟูจากผลกระทบของโควิด-19
วันนี้เราพร้อมเดินหน้าต่อยอดความพยายามเหล่านั้นด้วยโครงการใหม่ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนการฟื้นตัวทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทยและการลดช่องว่างด้านทักษะดิจิทัล
การสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจก้าวสู่โลกออนไลน์
ธุรกิจเอสเอ็มอีจำนวน 1.3 ล้านราย ซึ่งเป็นฟันเฟืองสำคัญที่ช่วยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทย ได้รับผลกระทบจากการระบาดของโควิด-19 ด้วยเหตุนี้เราจึงต้องการช่วยให้ธุรกิจไทยมีตัวตนบนโลกออนไลน์กันมากขึ้น เพื่อให้พวกเขาสามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากอินเทอร์เน็ตเพื่อเข้าถึงโอกาสใหม่ๆ ในช่วงเวลาที่ท้าทายเช่นนี้

ด้วยการสนับสนุนของพันธมิตรในอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการจะได้รับการฝึกอบรมเกี่ยวกับการทำธุรกิจเบื้องต้นและทักษะดิจิทัล ตั้งแต่การสร้างเว็บไซต์ การสร้างโปรไฟล์ธุรกิจบนโลกออนไลน์ด้วย Google My Business ไปจนถึงการรับชำระเงินออนไลน์
การช่วยให้คนไทยเข้าถึงการศึกษาและการพัฒนาทักษะดิจิทัล
การช่วยให้คนไทยสามารถเข้าถึงการศึกษาและโอกาสในการเรียนรู้ทักษะใหม่ๆ เป็นอีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่เราให้ความสำคัญ
ภายในงาน Google for Thailand ปีนี้ เราได้ประกาศให้ทุกคนทราบว่า G Suite for Education จะถูกผนวกเข้าเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ แพลตฟอร์มด้านการศึกษาเพื่อความเป็นเลิศ หรือ Digital Education Excellent Platform (DEEP) เพื่อสนับสนุนการเรียนการสอนทางไกลทั่วประเทศไทย โดยครู อาจารย์ นักเรียน นักศึกษาในสถานศึกษาของรัฐบาลจะสามารถเข้าถึงเครื่องมือเพื่อการศึกษาของ Google ได้ฟรี เช่น เครื่องมือสำหรับการทำงานร่วมกันอย่าง Google Drive ถือเป็นการสานต่อความตั้งใจของเราที่จะช่วยให้ครู อาจารย์ นักเรียน นักศึกษา สามารถเข้าถึง G Suite for Education และ Google Classroom ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้
นอกจากนี้เรายังต้องการเสริมสร้างทักษะดิจิทัลให้กับนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัย โดยเมื่อต้นเดือนที่ผ่านมาเราได้เปิดตัวโครงการ "Developer Student Clubs" สำหรับนักศึกษาที่สนใจเทคโนโลยีต่างๆ ที่พัฒนาโดยนักพัฒนาโปรแกรมของ Google ซึ่งได้นำร่องไปแล้วในมหาวิทยาลัย 6 แห่ง โครงการนี้มุ่งสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับเยาวชนคนรุ่นใหม่ที่มีความสามารถด้านดิจิทัลผ่านการทำเวิร์คช็อปร่วมกันเพื่อแก้ปัญหาในท้องถิ่น
ที่ผ่านมา เราได้เปิดตัวโครงการต่างๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้และการพัฒนาทักษะดิจิทัลของคนไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นโครงการ “ Teach from Anywhere ” ที่ช่วยสนับสนุนเรื่องการศึกษาทางไกล และโครงการ Be Internet Awesome ที่จัดฝึกอบรมเกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยบนโลกออนไลน์ให้กับครูและนักเรียนกว่า 500,000 คน นอกจากนี้ยังได้รวบรวมโปรแกรมต่างๆ ของ Academy Bangkok ไว้ในรูปแบบออนไลน์สำหรับนักศึกษาจบใหม่และคนที่เพิ่งเริ่มทำงานด้วย
การยกระดับความมุ่งมั่นในระยะยาวของเราที่มีต่อประเทศไทย
ในขณะที่เรามีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะช่วยส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลของประเทศไทยให้แข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น เราก็จะยังคงเดินหน้าให้บริการที่เป็นประโยชน์แก่คนไทยต่อไป
ล่าสุด เราได้ยกระดับประสบการณ์การใช้งาน Google Maps ดังนี้
การปรับปรุงฟีเจอร์ Plus Codes ให้ใช้งานง่ายขึ้น ฟีเจอร์ Plus Codes จะช่วยให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในพื้นที่ที่เข้าถึงยากหรือไม่มีที่อยู่ที่ชัดเจนสามารถระบุตำแหน่งที่อยู่ของตนเองได้อย่างแม่นยำบน Google Maps เพื่อการเข้าถึงบริการที่สำคัญต่างๆ อาทิ การจัดส่งพัสดุสินค้า นอกจากนี้ เรายังทำให้ผู้ใช้อุปกรณ์ Android สามารถค้นหารหัส Plus Codes ของตนเองได้ง่ายขึ้น เพียงแตะที่จุดสีน้ำเงินเพื่อรับรหัส Plus Codes สำหรับตำแหน่งปัจจุบัน

Google for Thailand: Introducing programs to support economic recovery
Today we held our third Google for Thailand event--reaffirming our commitment to leave no Thai behind as the country works to recover from the impact of COVID-19.
Now we’re ready to build on those efforts with new programs to support Thailand’s economic recovery and narrow the digital skills gap.
Empowering business owners to go online
Around 1.3 million small and medium enterprises --the backbone of the Thai economy--have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Our focus is to help bring more local businesses online, so that they can benefit from the opportunities the internet provides at this challenging time.
Through the years, we have helped millions of SMEs through Google My Business. Today, we announced the launch of “ Saphan Digital ”, a new Grow with Google program, delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and designed to equip local businesses, NGOs and individuals with important digital tools and skills.
With the help of our industry partners, participants will have access to foundational business and digital skills training courses, teaching them how to build websites, create online listings through Google My Business, and set up online payments.
Saphan Digital goes hand in hand with our earlier announcement of a $3.3 million grant from Google.org to help The Asia Foundation start Go Digital ASEAN : a program that will enable more than 200,000 people from marginalized communities to gain digital skills and literacy. In Thailand, the grant focuses on supporting microentrepreneurs in 20 provinces who wouldn’t otherwise have access to this kind of training.
Enabling access to education and digital skilling
Another priority is ensuring Thais have access to education and the ability to learn new skills.
We announced today that G Suite for Education is integrating into the “ Digital Education Excellence Platform ” (DEEP), an initiative to support remote learning nationwide. This means that all students and teachers in public schools will be able to access Google’s education tools free of charge -- including all collaboration tools like Drive. This partnership expands our work to make G Suite for Education and Google Classroom available to as many teachers and students as possible.
We also want to support university students with more advanced digital skills. Earlier this month, we launched our “Developer Student Clubs” program for students who are interested in Google developer technologies. The program — currently available in six universities — aims to inspire the next generation of digital talent through practical workshops to help them solve local community challenges.
These new initiatives are in addition to our “ Teach from Anywhere ” initiative, which helps students with remote education; our Be Internet Awesome, our program, which is training over 500,000 teachers and students in online safety; and programs like Academy Bangkok for recent graduates and professionals, which are now available online.
Deepening our long-term commitment to Thailand
As we deepen our commitment to Thailand’s digital economy, we’ll continue to provide Thais with helpful online services.
More recently, we’ve improved the experience on Google Maps with:
A new, easier way to access Plus Codes. Plus Codes provides Thais with an exact address on Maps where street names don’t currently exist, helping them receive deliveries and other important services. And finding your Plus Code got easier on Android - simply just tap the blue dot to get a digital address for your location anywhere in the world.
Recommendations from selected Thai YouTube Creators. To help Thais explore local destinations, from restaurants and shopping malls to cultural attractions, we have added selections curated by Thai creators such as BoomTharis , Guy Haru Family and Lat from MasterChef .
With these new programs, partnerships and products, we’re looking forward to building a more helpful and inclusive internet for Thais everywhere, and supporting the recovery from COVID-19 so Thailand can emerge stronger than before.
